Mt. Airy takes a gamble
Tuesday, 15 June 2010 21:03

Beautiful Mt. Airy Lodge, er, Casino will now have table games. This is certainly a draw for the high rollers with money to burn. However this brings a lot more overhead to the newish casino. 400 new employees will come on board with the new tables, thats a lot of cash to burn. State statics reveal that Mt. Airy is the worst performer among Pennsylvania's casinos in the current fiscal year. While the Poconos is certainly benefiting from people taking more budget friendly vacations, Mt. Airy isn't really benefiting from that. Vacationers may go the garish casino to dine, play some slots and screw around. However its unlikely they will gamble away huge sums of money.
